Blog 18: YouTube Video Proposal

My favorite type of YouTube videos are music videos but with a plot. I could definitely steal music and dramatic effects from music videos to add the my final YouTube video. I could also steal the idea of a story – since my research paper was about social media and depression that comes along with cyberbullying I could do a music type video of a girl on social media suffering from cyberbullying to a song. I think this would make my videos message stand out a lot. So, I will try to translate my project into a YouTube video by telling a story as an example of what social media and cyberbullying can do to a young girls mental health. I will use actors and music as well as real footage to display the concept I researches. I will quote by having actors communicate with one another about the ways that social media can make someone depressed or anxious. The tone for my video will be more serious but end with an important message on how to use social media correctly. I will use editing tricks to flow one clip in a setting to another one along with the music playing in the background under actors talking. I think this topic in general is something that will always reach a popular audience. I know there are films and clips on the effects of social media and I am excited to add to that.
